*SCHOLARSHIP INTERVIEW CONTINUES*

*JOIN CULT, LOSE SCHOLARSHIP - DR. NNEJI WARNS STUDENTS*

Interview for prospective beneficiaries of Dr. Abraham Chukwudi Nneji university scholarship for brilliant but indigent Enugu State students continued today (Wednesday, 24/11/21) Enugu State Post Primary Schools Management Board, PPSMB, Headquarters, Enugu.

Those who came for the last lap of the interview which started yesterday are from Udenu, Nsukka, Igbo-Eze North, Igbo-Eze South, Igbo-Etiti, Uzo Uwani and Oji River local government areas.

Addressing them before the commencement of the interview, the founder of the nongovernmental organisation, Dr. Abraham Nneji said that the scholarship was for those who would gain admission into public universities and polytechnics.

He stated that those who were yet to write JAMB still had chance as the current exercise was for one year within which they should gain admission into any public university or polytechnic.

Dr. Nneji emphasised that academic and moral performance of beneficiaries of the scholarship would be evaluated after each session. "Upgrade will be done to determine those who will continue to enjoy the scholarship. We will not want to continue to sponsor those who will go there and join cult, destroy property or engage in other misbehaviors," Dr. Nneji warned.
The interview was a success and the students awaits to know those that will meet the final stage.

MOMENTS OF EXCITEMENT FOR STUDENTS: STUDY HARD, ENJOY CONTINUOUS SCHOLARSHIP - DR. ABRAHAM NNEJI

Prospective beneficiaries of Dr. Abraham Chukwudi Nneji Foundation University Scholarship for Enugu State indigent students have been told that they would enjoy the Scholarship if they work hard and maintain high academic performance.

The founder of the non-governmental organization, Dr. Abraham Nneji gave the assurance while addressing about 300 students who passed an online examination for the scholarship and had also written their West African School Certificate Examination.

The students who were among over 2,000 who took the online examination had converged on Devotional Hall, Enugu State Post Primary Schools Management Board, PPSMB, Headquarters Enugu today, November 23, 2021 for oral interview for the scholarship.

Dr. Nneji stated that after the final selection of beneficiaries, a seminar would be held for the successful ones on the required academic performance that would enable them to continue to enjoy the Scholarship.

He explained that the scholarship covered all courses in Public Universities and that the interview was to ensure that those who would get it were serious minded.

The Philanthropist told about 20 undergraduate students who took and passed the online examination that the scholarship was not for them. He however promised that the board of Dr. Abraham Chukwudi Nneji Foundation would look at their individual cases to see those who could be assisted to compensate for their efforts.

Earlier in an interview, Dr. Nneji said he decided to embark on the scholarship programme so that some bright but indigent Enugu State students did not die with their dreams as nearly happened to him because of his poor family background. He stated that it was a way of appreciating God who made his success in life possible.

Explaining the processes for selecting the would be beneficiaries, he said, "seminars were held in the 6 education zones in Enugu State to enlighten students on the scholarship. Books were distributed to students during the seminars to prepare for ink-on-paper examination and there was plan to organize lessons for them before the examination."

He however noted that the plans for lessons and ink-on-paper examination failed because of Covid-19 and heightened insecurity in the society, leading to resort to online examination.

Dr. Nneji stated that #CEDinitiative which published the books that were distributed to the students conducted the online examination for the foundation.

The Permanent Secretary, #PPSMBEnugu Dr. Favour Ugwuanyi mni, encouraged the students to take their studies seriously to derive maximum benefit from the scholarship.

Some of the students who spoke thanked Dr. Nneji for his magnanimity while noting that he was neither a politician nor was looking for anything in return from them or their parents..

CEDInitiative plays a pivotal role in organizing and making sure the event follows a sequential process of achieving success.

3rd Session; personal productivity

The Instructor taught the students on using the minimum resources in achieving the maximum resources. He taught them the need to receive information and put it into action.

He further said that the information you provided will tell on the advice you will be given, for there can't be perfect advice with partial fact.

He taught them the three things to bear in mind which are:

R- Realization
D- Decision
A- Action

REALIZATION: being able to realize the current condition that you're dissatisfied about as well as being able to realize the advantages you have - (Luke 15:17). These advantages become your vision.

DECIDE: the decision is more powerful in making a choice.

The decision is the vehicle while ACTION: Is the driver.

Once you have decided you act on your decision.
